Brighton 2-piece Emo/pop punkers H_NGM_N new record ‘I don’t want to go home’ is a powerful mix of heartfelt melodic goodness and kick ass bounce of the wall radness.
Imagine Matt Prior, Chris Conley and Thom Weeks played a game of Soggy Cracker in the backstage area of a Brighton music venue; after the deed was finished, their grim creation was chucked out the window and caught mid air by a rather famished seagull, deciding the crackers sticky gloop was too salty for his taste buds, the rather disappointed sea bird dropped the cracker in to a large abandoned vat of toxic waste.
A year to the night, a storm hit Brighton, so fierce and brutal that the local street preacher crazy Steve figured that his prediction of the end of the world has come true, and watched the sky, for signs that the four horsemen would soon be at our doorsteps.
As the sky was filled with forks of lightning and deafening cracks of thunder, one bolt of lightning hit the large abandoned vat of toxic waste, sending the contents bubbling upwards in an excitable oozing mess.
As the oozing mess lay gurgling in the gutter, a shining light and a crackle of electricity buzzed all around the toxic slime, as the toxic waste mixed with the gentleman’s relish, that the disappointed sea bird had dropped a year previous bubbled and popped, two fully formed dudes slivered out of the oozing mess , jumped to their feet, high fived each other and muttered the life changing words ‘’Dude we shall start a band and name it H_NGM_N”
‘I don’t want to go home’ is 4 tracks of killer catchy jams, that will leave the ligaments in your neck begging for mercy and your vocal chords demanding you take a vow of silence.
