The suspected perpetrator of a bomb attack on Borussia Dortmund’s team bus has been arrested, the public prosecutor’s office said.

The suspect was said to have been arrested by German police on Friday, April 21.

According to the prosecutor’s of office, the bomber’s motive was financial and not terror-related.

The  28-year-old identified as Sergej W is a German-Russian national, a statement said.

It said the suspect was hoping to profit from a drop in the football team’s share price as a result of the attack.
