Hey folks,

I’ve found a bit of time right now to share some stuff from the week.

It’s about 3 a.m. Friday 3rd February, right now and I’m looking forward to a football game, more practice and classes and of course relaxing this weekend. It’s quite awesome that my daily work involves writing about football, I really enjoy it.

If you don’t like or watch football, skip till the Tool the part, but I suggest you don’t 😉

The Games I Saw and Covered This Week

My favourite club, Chelsea, played old Champion’s League rivals Liverpool at their stadium Anfield this week and we drew the game 1-1. We could’ve won actually but our main striker Diego Costa’s penalty was saved by the Liverpool keeper Simon Mignolet (Why didn’t he just smash the ball into the roof of the net!?) 😥

Anyway, it was a good result away from home and David Luiz’s free-kick was a beauty! Him and N’Golo Kante were our best players by far.

This was my verdict.

And yes, This!

In case you want to read up on one of my articles, here is my two cents on Manchester City’s 4-0 win over West Ham last night. Damn that Man City front five were something else!

Ivanovic leaves and Lampard retires

An era at Stamford Bridge came to an end this week. Branislav Ivanovic – a defender for Chelsea for the last nine seasons left the club – and the icon, THE midfielder and legend Frank Lampard, finally hung up his boots, retiring from football at the age of 38.

Words can’t express how much watching Frank Lampard inspired me growing up. I tried to play like him every single time I walked on the football pitch, him and of course Zinedine Zidane were my biggest inspirations while growing up, watching and playing football.

Here is the the tweet when the news came through, I was a bit heart-broken really. He was Mr.Chelsea and my idol at the club, especially since I played central midfield most of my life.

And here is the video Chelsea Football Club made for him – it’s class!

A lot of players and clubs paid tribute to Frank Lampard – here are best.

The Barcelona tweet just made me really happy. They were our biggest rivals in the Champion’s League.

I also remember watching this goal so clearly and almost crying with Frank after he scored this against Liverpool in the Champion’s League semi-final in 2008. It was just 4 days after he lost his mother. His face said everything – it was emotion I had never seen him show this way, ever before.

I could go on about Lampard but I think one stat and statement suffices.

Frank Lampard scored double digits (10+ goals) in 10 successive seasons for Chelsea, from midfield and is the club’s all time highest goalscorer with 211 goals – being a midfielder!

As I posted on facebook “Intelligent movement, hard work, determination and goals personified.”

What a proper ledge! #ThankYouFrankLampard #SuperFrank #CFCNumber8

Also Chelsea Football Club are you listening?

We lost that Champion’s League final in Moscow(after we beat Liverpool in the semis) to Manchester United. But there would be redemption…

Let’s not forget Branislav Ivanovic.

This game and THIS goal in the Champion’s League round of 16 against Napoli made him a hero. We were 3-1 down to the Italian side after the game in Naples and were going to go out when Inler scored but we came back and won 4-1 at Stamford Bridge to go through 5-4 on aggregate – Ivanovic scored the winner. I honestly went bat-shit crazy when this  went in!

Watch the highlights from this game!

Also coming back to redemption, Chelsea won the Champion’s League trophy that season in 2011/12 after beating Bayern Munich in the final in Munich itself…. It wouldn’t have happened if Ivanovic didn’t score that deciding goal against Napoli.

#ThankYouIvanovic

TOOL

So this was a pretty awesome discovery this week. The YouTube channel ‘ToolArchive’ made this brilliant compilation video of all of Tool’s music – that they’ve teased fans with up until now – that could end up on their highly anticipated album this year or next year, whenever they release it.

Here is that video. That initial riff though, it’s something unreal ! Adam Jones is brilliant!

I can’t wait for this album! #Tool2017/18 #cannotwait

Donald Trump and Big Data

Okay, Big Data is properly scary – I knew it more or less, but this article further validated my fears. The accuracy with which our behaviour and our personality can be predicted, determined, classified and used against us for anything – just by our online usage – is shocking. It’s a nightmare very honestly. This article should open your mind.

It’s safe to say Donald Trump has broken the internet and Television – more than any Kardashian could have ever dreamed of doing. Honestly, I’d rather not delve into politics (especially American) and my opinions etc. I just like to stay informed and know what is going on.

This one is surely worth a read! If you’re going to read something this week, let it be this!

Jokes

You’ve got to keep laughing in life, I feel. Laugh a lot you know – at yourself, at others, at a lot of things. It’s great. These were some jokes and videos I laughed at this week.

This twitter and facebook account is hilarious if you’re from Bombay.

My friends chipped in as well – this was for a friend who’s coming back from the US and let’s just say, ‘Have a good trip… ‘ 😉

Ozzy Man Reviews is another brilliant Australian facebook page and youtube channel.
These were the ones I saw this week.

Yeah and I crack a few here and there as well.

Also the Robot is back! Peter Crouch with 100 goals!

‘Salt Bae’ has also broken the internet this year. He posted this on instagram, yes I follow Salt Bae. Haha 😛

Practice

And as for the instruments, I’ve been practicing. I need to keep doing my chromatics and chords that I’ve learnt on the guitar, but mainly and more importantly chromatics, to get used to it and also the patterns on the keyboard I’ve been taught so far  I learnt another song by A Perfect Circle. Here it is.
