New track: The Wild Things – Tell me Why

The Wild Things are a four-piece alt rock band from West London who have recently toured the US, before coming home to the UK to release new music. Their previous track, I Think You can Do Better appeared as BBC London’s ‘featured artist of the week’ and the band is gaining traction having been picked up by Radio 1’s Huw Stephens.

The Wild things sound a lot like if The Muncie Girls and Halsey had a music baby, and if that doesn’t really sound like the band for you, I’m not sure what you’re doing here. I have no more content to offer you.

Tell Me Why is grungy, teen angst with slick production value and stunning vocals. If you ever watched the BBC’s Young Dracula, you’re already acquainted with The Wild Thing’s frontwomen, Sydney White (who played Erin), whose sweet but powerful voice makes this track a standout.

The track has a steady drum beat laced with laid-back lead guitar which provides a constant and contrasting bed for Sydney’s vocals.

The song proves that this band is ready to go and just in need of their big break, but the fact that the foursome recorded and produced it themselves, is a testament to their talent.

All I can really say is, get on this band now; they’re about to blow up.
