The Skinflicks se formaron después de una tarde de alcohol y fiesta en 1997. En ese momento sólo había tres miembros de la banda, Jerome (Bateria y Voz), Tom (Guitarra) y Muck (Bajo)
Después de tocar conciertos aquí y allá en algunos bares del sur de Luxemburgo, una grabación fue puesta en libertad, un Cassette Demo llamado “Cider Lane 77”, de los cuales se vendieron una cantidad limitada de copias.
Después Muck dejó la banda en 1999, la alineación tuvo que ser cambiada. Jerome y Tom reclutaron compañeros de muchos años, kedando la formacion actual de la siguiente manera: Jerome (Voz), Tom (Guitarra), Patrick (bajo) y Gilbert (Bateria).
